Dr. Brioso is assistant professor of Spanish at Carleton College, Northfield, Minnesota. His area of specialization is 20th century Spanish literature (essay, novel and poetry) and film. Other fields of interest are literary theory, rhetoric, philology and the relationship between literature and philosophy. He has taught semiotics, literary theory and narratology at the University of La Havana. [source: Carleton University]
