Dr. Juan Carlos Esturo, who was born in Bilbao, Spain, is Associate Professor of Spanish Language and Literature at Queensborough Community College. His research on the theatre of Ramón del Valle Inclán, centers on the importance of the themes of cruelty and horror of this Galician writer, whose work has impacted contemporary Spanish and Latin American literature.
