Dr. Figueroa is an Associate Professor of Modern Languages at The College of New Jersey (Ewing, NJ). He teaches Spanish-American Literature, Humanities, and Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual/Transgender Studies. His topics are Cuban and Puerto Rican Contemporary Narrative, Liberation Theology, and Literature of Sexual Minorities. He has published two books on Puerto Rican literature and various articles in journals and literary reviews.
