Her book El imperativo ekfrastico en la prosa de Ramon Gomez de la Serna shows how this author uses language, forcing the limits of the medium with extraordinary results. In her book Rosa Chacel y las artes visuales, Dr. Klohe investigates the importance of the pictorial elements in this author's novels. She has also published articles on contemporary poets, Spanish art, and the Hispanic presence in the United States. Her book in progress is an inter-generational study of the uses of ekphrasis in Spanish literature of the twentieth century.
