Eva M. Fernández received her B.A. in Linguistics and German from New York University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Linguistics from the CUNY Graduate Center. She is Assistant Professor at Queens College, in the Department of Linguistics & Communication Disorders, where she also directs the Queens College Center for Teaching and Learning.  Her research in the domain of psycholinguistics spans topics on bilingualism and second language acquisition, with a focus on cross-linguistic differences in sentence processing.  She is also interested in instructional technology in higher education.  Additional affiliation: Program in Linguistics at the CUNY Graduate Center [http://web.gc.cuny.edu/dept/lingu/]; memberships: Linguistic Society of America, Modern Language Association, the Asociación de Lingüística y Filología de América Latina, the CUNY Academy for the Humanities and Sciences, and the Queens College chapter of Sigma Xi.
