Description:
The City University of New York School of Professional Studies (SPS) offers an array of credit and non-credit certificate programs and courses that are designed to meet the needs of working professionals and employers as well as individuals seeking opportunities for personal growth.
SPS is currently seeking adjunct faculty to teach in its Immigration Law Studies Certificate Program. This graduate level program is made up of five courses:
1. Introduction to Immigration Law
2. Immigration Business Law
3. Proceedings in Immigration Court: The Removal Process and Applications for Relief
4. Family-Based Immigration Law
5. Naturalization and Citizenship
Courses are offered in both traditional classroom and online formats. SPS is also seeking candidates to convert The Removal Process and Family-Based courses to an online format. Training is available to those interested in learning about and teaching online.
Qualifications:
For appointment as Instructor a person must possess a master’s degree and such other qualifications as may be necessary for the satisfactory performance of his/her instructional functions. Law degree, at least four years experience in immigration law and two years teaching experience preferred. Experience with online education not required.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience, credentials and salary history
FLSA Status: Exempt
