IJMES EDITORIAL OFFICE AT CUNY
Welcome to the editorial office of the International Journal of Middle East Studies (IJMES). Please visit the journal’s official website at Cambridge University Press (CUP) for links to the current volume and back issues, subscription information, and permission to reprint or reproduce articles.
IJMES is a peer-reviewed academic journal published quarterly by CUP on behalf of the Middle East Studies Association (MESA), a private, non-profit, non-political learned society that brings together scholars, educators, and those interested in the study of the region from all over the world. MESA membership includes a subscription to IJMES.
IJMES publishes articles, book reviews, and Quick Studies concerning the area encompassing the Arab world, Iran, Turkey, the Caucasus, Afghanistan, Israel, Transoxiana, and Muslim South Asia from the seventh century to the present. Articles on communities or politics in other regions of the world that had or have strong Middle Eastern ties or contexts, or on relations between those regions and the Middle East, will also be considered. See the Submissions page for more information.
The current IJMES editor is Beth Baron, professor of history at the Graduate Center and City College, City University of New York and co-director of the Middle East and Middle Eastern American Center at the CUNY Graduate Center. During her tenure (July 2009-June 2014), the IJMES editorial office resides at the Graduate Center.
The IJMES managing editor is Sara Pursley and the assistant editor for book reviews is Jeff Culang. Both can be reached at ijmes@gc.cuny.edu. For additional contact information, see the About Us page.
