Dr. Anna Indych-López received her Ph.D. from the Institute of Fine Arts in 2003. Her doctoral thesis won the Association for Latin American Art’s Dissertation Award in 2005. Dr. Indych-López is Assistant Professor of Art History in the Art Department of The City College of New York (CUNY) where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on the modern art of Latin America, Europe, and the United States. Recent publications include essays on Modern Mexican art in Art Bulletin, the exhibition catalogue Tamayo: A Modern Icon Reinterpreted, and A Principality of its Own: 40 Years of Visual Arts
at the Americas Society, among others. Her forthcoming book from the University of Pittsburgh Press is Mexican Muralism without Walls: Rivera, Orozco, and Siqueiros in the United States
