Special Issue - the Proceedings of SUNY/CUNY/NYU Mini-Conference 8

This issue is dedicated to the memory of Irina Diana Tarabac (1970 - 2007), Ph.D. candidate at Stony Brook University.

This volume contains the Proceedings of SUNY/CUNY/NYU Mini-conference. The 8th SUNY/CUNY/NYU Mini-conference was held on November 18th, 2006 at Stony Brook University. This mini-conference brought together young researchers in Linguistics from Stony Brook, NYU and CUNY Graduate Center. The papers contained in these Proceedings are selected papers based on the presentations given by the authors and based on the comments suggested by the reviewers. A diverse range of linguistic subfields and topics are represented in this selection: syntax, semantics, phonology and second language acquisition.
