New Biographies by Former Fellows

The Leon Levy Center for Biography congratulates three former Fellows on the upcoming publication of biographies written in whole or part during their fellowship year: Wendy Lesser, editor of The Threepenny Review and LLCB Fellow 2009-10, will publish Music for Silenced Voices: Shostakovich and His Fifteen Quartets, with Yale University Press (March 2011). The 2008-9 Fellow, poet Molly Peacock, will publish The Paper Garden: Mrs. Delany Begins Her Life's Work at 72, a biography of 18th-century artist Mary Granville Delany, with BloomsburyUSA (April 2011). Brooklyn College Professor of English and American Studies and 2008-9 Biography Fellow James Davis will publish his biography, Quite To Himself: Eric Walrond, the Harlem Renaissance, and the Caribbean Diaspora in the fall of 2011 (Columbia University Press).
