Deposition Dissertation:  September 15, 2011 for October 1, 2011 degree (see .http://library.gc.cuny.edu/thesis-and-dissertation-guide/deposit-dates-and-fees/ .)

Register for classes August 16-25, 2011 (newly admitted matriculated students) for Fall 2011 classes (note that continuing students who register after this deadline will pay a $25 late registration fee).

Dissertation Proposals:   The Spring 2012 Dissertation Proposal Committee will meet at 2PM on Friday, February 17, 2012 and Friday, April 27, 2012. Those who have submitted proposals will be assigned a time to meet with the committee. Those submitting a proposal from outside the NY area are not required to attend the meeting.

Proposals for the February 17 meeting should be submitted electronically to the committee chair, Norman Carey ncarey@gc.cuny.edu no later than 5 PM on Thursday, February 2; proposals for the April 27 meeting should be submitted electronically to Professor Carey no later than 5PM on Thursday, April 12.  Any proposal that cannot be submitted electronically may be submitted to the Music Office in four hard copies. Each proposal must be supported by prospective advisors and first readers. Letters of support should be emailed to ncarey@gc.cuny.edu before the day of the meeting. Late proposals, or proposals without two letters of support, will not be considered.
