MAGNET CHANCELLOR'S POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS
To Encourage CUNY Alumni to Pursue Careers in College Teaching

One-year fellowships are available to Graduate Center alumni who have earned their CUNY doctorates within the past five years. The fellowships are provided under the Minority Access/Graduate Networking (MAGNET) Program of the CUNY Graduate Center. MAGNET seeks to expand opportunities for underrepresented students in doctoral study and to create a network linking students to one another, to faculty and administrators, and to further opportunities.

Chancellor's Fellows may teach one course within the CUNY system, conduct research, assist in the recruitment of underrepresented students for doctoral study, and serve as mentors for recipients of the MAGNET Fellowships. Each award carries a stipend of $36,000 for the academic year. Fellows meet monthly for academic discussions, mentoring, and peer support.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Currently enrolled students must have a deposited dissertation and have filed for a May degree.
The application deadline is June 30
