Assistant Director

Peter Hitchcock is Professor of English at the Graduate Center and Baruch College of the City University of New York. He is also a member of the Film Studies and Women’s Studies Certificate Programs at the Graduate Center.

Hitchcock has been a Visiting Professor at Beijing Normal University, Shanghai University, and SUNY Stony Brook. He has been a Mellon Fellow, and NEH recipient, an IREX recipient and has won over a dozen PSC-CUNY research awards. Hitchcock has given at least a hundred papers in over twenty-five countries including many lectures and keynotes. He is also a regular on the CUNY channel.
