The CUNY Graduate Center's Ph.D./M.A. Program in Philosophy provides students with training in the history of ancient and modern philosophy and in all of the main areas of philosophical inquiry. The program encourages interdisciplinary interests and maintains close relationships and shared colloquia and/or faculty with a number of other graduate programs including Comparative Literature, Computer Science, Linguistics, and Mathematics.

The Graduate Center proudly announces the appointment of three new Distinguished Professors of Philosophy and three additional joint appointments. Noël Carroll, Jesse Prinz, and Graham Priest will join the faculty as Distinguished Professors beginning in September 2008, January 2009, and September 2009, respectively. Jeffrey Blustein (Philosophy, City College), Robert Fiengo (Linguistics, CUNY Graduate Center), and Samir Chopra (Computer Science/Philosophy, Brooklyn College) will join the faculty this September.
