Provost and Senior Vice-President

The Provost and Senior Vice-President is the principal academic officer of The Graduate Center; he also serves as deputy to the President. He has overall responsibility for the quality and performance of the degree-granting programs, including curriculum, governance, and budgetary matters. The Provost also oversees Institutional Research and Program Evaluation, the Mina Rees Library, the Office of Student Affairs, Research and Sponsored Programs, and Building Design and Exhibitions, as well as the office of the Associate Provosts.

Associate Provost and Dean for Humanities and Social Sciences

The Associate Provost and Dean for Humanities and Social Sciences serves as deputy to the Provost and supervises the Graduate Teaching Fellowship Program, the CUNY Writing Fellows Program, the Student Academic Appeals Committee, the annual dissertation awards competition, the Language Reading Program and the Latin/Greek Institute.

Associate Provost and Dean for Sciences:

The Associate Provost and Dean for Sciences oversees the joint degree programs (biochemistry, biology, chemistry, and physics), the Health Sciences doctoral programs (audiology, nursing, physical therapy, and public health), the Office of Educational Opportunity and Diversity Programs (OEODP), the science fellowships, student health insurance and information technology. The Associate Provost and Dean for Sciences is also responsible for University Center operations, including the CUNY School of Professional Studies, the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, and the CUNY Baccalaureate Program.
