Provost
The Provost and Senior Vice President is the principal academic officer of The Graduate Center; she also serves as deputy to the President. She has overall responsibility for the quality and performance of the degree-granting programs, including curriculum, governance, and budgetary matters. The Provost also oversees Institutional Research and Program Evaluation, the Mina Rees Library, the Office of Student Affairs, Research and Sponsored Programs, and Building Design and Exhibitions, as well as the office of the Associate Provost.

Associate Provost/Dean of Academic Affairs
The Associate Provost and Dean for Academic Affairs serves as deputy to the Provost and supervises the Graduate Teaching Fellowship Program, the CUNY Writing Fellows Program, the Student Academic Appeals Committee, the annual dissertation awards competition, the Language Reading Program and the Latin/Greek Institute.

Associate Provost for Doctoral Science Programs
The Associate Provost for Doctoral Science Programs oversees the CUNY doctoral programs in the laboratory sciences—biology, biochemistry, chemistry, and physics.
