Paul Thomas, a technical supervisor at MIT's Plasma Science and Fusion Center -- will demonstrate the principles of magnetism and electricity and interesting applications in daily life, such as magnetic strips on credit cards, audio and video tape recorders, and automotive magnet motors, and magnetic sensors.
