In this course students are introduced to various pieces of software, hardware, and laboratory techniques common to research laboratories in the speech and hearing sciences. Basic principles underlying the generation, recording and analysis of sound are covered. Through lecture, hands-on experience, and structured experiments, students learn to use the basic tools that are important for research in this field.
