This course is designed to prepare students for the Hearing
Science component of the First
Exam in the PH.D. Program in Speech and Hearing Sciences.
Consequently, It will provide a broad background in the anatomy,
mechanics, physiology of the auditory periphery (outer, middle and
inner ears) and the anatomy and physiology of the central nervous
system, in addition to an introduction to psychoacoustics (the
perception of auditory stimuli).
