TEACHING OPPORTUNITY

Doctoral students in Urban Education have the opportunity to teach courses in undergraduate and, in some cases, also in graduate programs at CUNY colleges. These are mainly courses in Education, but in some cases also in other fields (e.g. English composition, basic sciences and mathematics).

You may teach courses as part of a CUNY Tuition Fellowship, where your tuition is covered by Financial Aid.  Only students in their third semester are eligible.

You must be approved for teaching positions by a faculty committee at the CUNY college where you would be working.  Adjunct teaching is usually available at Hunter College (Manhattan), Brooklyn College, and Queens College and in some cases also at other participating CUNY colleges (e.g. CCNY, Lehman, Baruch, etc.)
