Psychological Counseling and Adult Development Center
Daniel Rothenberg, Ph.D 365 Fifth Avenue, Room 6422, The Psychological Counseling and Adult Development (PCAD) Center offers
short-term counseling and psychotherapy (individual and group), consultation, and referral
services to the students enrolled at The Graduate Center of the City University of New York. The counseling offered is
focused and comprehensive, providing structured contexts in which to address identified problems as well as
more general issues of effectiveness in work and personal life. Services are offered on a confidential, nonemergency
basis; by appointment, free of charge. The center also conducts seminars and workshops that focus upon the challenges
of graduate student life and dissertation completion, as well as issues of personal transition and growth. The PCAD
Center's approach reflects a therapeutically neutral stance; counseling/psychotherapy is offered in a context that respects
individual and cultural differences.
